Our role
Bitcoin Finder is a restaurant discovery platform. We help you find restaurants where dining earns you Bitcoin. We are not a financial advisor, an investment platform, a wallet provider, or a financial service provider. Nothing on this site should be taken as financial, legal, or tax advice.
To be clear about our role and limits:
No custody: Bitcoin Finder never holds Bitcoin on behalf of users.
No accounts or balances: we do not maintain user accounts, balances, wallets, or stored value.
No exchange, brokerage, or trading services: Bitcoin Finder is not a Bitcoin exchange, brokerage, or trading platform. We do not trade Bitcoin on behalf of users or third parties.
No investment advice: we do not provide Bitcoin investment advice or manage portfolios.
How rewards reach you
Restaurants pay Bitcoin Finder a commission for bringing them new customers. Bitcoin rewards are funded out of that commission and delivered to your self-custody wallet over the Lightning Network when you scan the digital QR code shown by the restaurant. There are no accounts, no balances, and no vouchers. For the full breakdown, see How it works.
The QR code is not a wallet or stored value
The digital QR code displayed at a participating restaurant contains no Bitcoin and stores no monetary value. It is simply a one-time mechanism that lets you claim a reward into a wallet you already control.
Reward rates can change
Bitcoin Finder sets the reward rate for each restaurant. Rates, eligibility, and availability can change at any time, sometimes without notice. We do our best to keep listings up to date, but please check the restaurant’s page for the current offer before relying on it.
Bitcoin price volatility
The value of Bitcoin can rise and fall significantly. The amount of Bitcoin you receive as a reward is fixed at the time of the transaction, but its value in your local currency may go up or down afterwards. Only accept rewards you are comfortable holding.
No tax advice
Receiving Bitcoin may have tax implications in your country. We do not provide tax advice. Please speak with a qualified tax professional about your specific situation.
Responsibility
Restaurants are responsible for the meal, service, and atmosphere. Any dispute about your meal or the bill is between you and the restaurant. If a Bitcoin reward fails to arrive after you have scanned the QR, contact us at support@bitcoinfinder.app. That part is on us.
Regulatory position (Bahrain)
Based on guidance from the Central Bank of Bahrain, loyalty programs are excluded from regulated crypto activities. Accordingly, Bitcoin Finder does not require a license for this model. This position applies to operations in Bahrain; users elsewhere should consider their local rules where relevant.
